An extensive analysis on the condition of library staff in Universities, Colleges and Public Libraries of Tamilnadu has been done. With reference to their recruitment norms salary, promotion norms and vacancies. This work provides evidence from various sources like G.O; S UGC , NAAC committee reports. It also deals with cases filed by Library professionals and authorities. It gives category wise as well as district wise analysis of Public Library professionals in Tamilnadu. Finally reasons and suggestions have been provided based on the available statistics.
