This study provides detailed account and the findings of the analysis of the role played by the British Library, Thiruvananthapuram in the socio economic and educational development in Thiruvananthapuram. It is based on elaborate survey to study the impact of the services provided by the British library on the users. The study was carried out methodically over a period of three years and the sample consists of 952 users of the library, In addition to this data was collected by a structured interview method from 300 members. The inferences and findings were drawn on the basis of statistical analysis of the data collected.
