Virtual resource sharing The thesis aimed to design a model for virtual center for environmental periodicals in the Science City area of Chennai. It idenfied the research and educational organisations dealing with environmental sciences and the branches of the subject, the duplication and the cost involved for procuring the same. It created a Union catalogue for Environmental science periodicals in this region. The syudy has been concluded with more demanded journals and related websites for environmental science. Finally it suggested the model to establish at IIT, Chennai, as it has basic infrastructure and other facilities for the resource sharing centre.
