Ph.D Topic: Personal Management in University Libraries : Organisational Climate. Ph.D awarded in 1989 (First Candidate who has been awarded Ph.D Degree in the Department of Library & Information Science, University of Madras).

Major Research Project: Conducted with the financial assistance provided by University Grants Commission of India. Title of the Project: Animal Encyclopedia for children in Tamil: A hypertext document. 1999.
